About Me
Victoria Roger, LCSW
Pleasure to meet you! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a strengths-based psychotherapist working with young adults and burnt-out professionals who are looking to live consciously and cultivate inner harmony.
I have a passion for helping others and consider it my life’s mission to make a difference in the lives of others. My style is warm, supportive, positive (and sometimes humorous!) I leverage facets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Mindfulness Practices, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic Therapy, among others to help clients reach their fullest potential.
I am a happily married Mother of two young children and have spent half my career working with children, adolescents, families, couples, and individuals with a myriad of mental health diagnoses in the areas of stress management, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, addiction, anger management, ADHD, life transitions, OCD, and mood disorders, among others. The other half of my career has been spent in Corporate America, working with young professionals and high-performing C-Suite Executives, which helps me to bring an invaluable perspective to our sessions for those seeking a healthy work/life balance, career guidance, or a career change.
First, we will begin by exploring what brought you here in the first place, what your goals are for treatment, and where you would like to be. I know how vulnerable therapy is, as I’ve sat in your chair many times, as a student and during challenging times, and consider it an honor to impart my knowledge and skills to those who may be stuck or are seeking more peace and joy in their lives.
My approach is client-centered, bringing a balance of psychoeducation, empathy, encouragement, exploration, and gentle challenging to sessions. I believe in a holistic approach to treatment inclusive of the mind, body, and soul, and deeply value the client-therapist relationship.
Typically, when meeting someone for the first time, there is often a significant amount of distress and pain that needs to be divulged. I start where the client is, exploring where you are, what your goals and thought processes are, and any traumas or beliefs that may be getting in the way.
